Contact The Conversation Project
'CONNECTED' ISN'T CONNECTION...
We live in a world of increasing time demands and a dependence on communicating through technology. While technology provides the capabilities for real time engagement and connectivity, it’s ironically creating less – less time to for quality conversations and connections
that matter, with real people.
The convenience of technology enables us to turn to our devices to address boredom, to fill intimacy gaps, and to distract us from the discomfort, fear, criticism, or judgement that a potentially sensitive or charged conversation might bring. The nuances and emotional cues once experienced by touch, expression and language in the most basic human-to-human conversations are now being replaced by brevity, swipe, and screen time.
This change of behaviour is affecting not only our ability to be present in our most important conversations, but also changing our social health and mental well-being. It’s facilitating a new type of emotional disconnection in families and personal relationships. It’s rewiring and creating imbalances in our neurological functions. And it’s introducing new addictions and mental health challenges.
The Conversation Project is dedicated to helping people communicate wholeheartedly in their most intimate relationships - without fears of conversation aftermath.
The Conversation Project helps people who have experienced the widening gap of disconnect and discomfort in family or personal relationships to source strength, openly communicate, and grow past the powerlessness of impersonal communication, all with professional support, inspired actions, educational resources, and an engaged community.
